The beans: grown in the Maya Mountain North Forest Reserve deep in the jungle of Toledo, Belize, as part of an initiative run by by a group of Q'eqchi' farmers and a conservation NGO to reforest an area previously invaded by loggers and cattle farmers. Fermented by the experts at Maya Mountain Cacao, we are very fortunate to be one of only two chocolate makers worldwide to have secured a supply from the 2022 harvest.
